Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a combustion apparatus for injecting water into a combustion chamber to reduce nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas by constructing to inject waste water of boiler drum into the chamber, thereby eliminating a special accessory facility for injection. CONSTITUTION:Water is injected into a combustion chamber 3 to reduce nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas, thereby lowering the combustion temperature. For that purpose, an injector 13 is provided in addition to a burner 2 in the chamber 3. A boiler drum waste water exhaust unit 8 integrally connected with a continuous blow pipe 7 to a steam and water drum 4 and the injector 13 are connected via a water guide tube 15 through a pressure reducing valve 11 and a solenoid valve 12. The waste water of the drum exhausted from the drum 4 is fed to the injector 13 by utilizing the pressure of the waste water, and is injected into the chamber 3. In this manner, special accessory facility such as water tank, pump, etc. provided in the conventional facility for injecting water can be eliminated.
