Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain reduction of labor and the stabilization of treated sludge properties by detecting a sludge dry solid amount of automatically feed a fluocculant in a proper amount corresponding to a sludge flowing state. CONSTITUTION:Sludge 1 to be treated is introduced into a sludge dry solid amount detecting apparatus 4 to detect the sludge dry solid amount thereof and the detected amount is sent to a control apparatus 5 as a sludge amount signal. On the other hand, a flocculant is adjusted by a flow amount control apparatus 6 controlled by the control apparatus 5 so as to set a flow amount thereof to a predetermined feeding ratio and the flocculant is mixed in the sludge 1 to be treated in a mixing tank 7. The sludge after the fluocculant is added is sent to a sludge dehydrating apparatus 8 and, after dehydration treatment, discharged as the treated sludge 2. As the result, dehydration capacity can be stabilized without requiring skill for operating the sludge dehydrating apparatus and properties of the discharged sludge are also stabilized.
