Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the damage and deterioration of the surface of a substrate by forming the substrate by coating a cylinder made of metal such as Al with a synthetic resin film and heat shrinking the film, and to reuse the cylinder by peeling off the film when a photosensitive layer on the substrate is renewed. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder made of metal such as Al is coated with a heat shrinkable polyester film or the like, and the film is heat shrinked with a hot air drier or the like to form a substrate. On the film an electrically conductive layer prepared by dispersing fine carbon powder in a binder resin is formed. Photoconductive fine powder of CdS or the like is dispersed in a solventless and cold setting type resin such as epoxy resin, and the dispersion is applied to the conductive layer and set to form a photoconductive layer. An insulating layer of polyethylene or the like may be formed on the photodonductive layer. Thus, a photoreceptor is obtd. The damage and deterioration of the substrate due to rusting, etc. are prevented during storage, and when the photosensitive layer is renewed, by peeling off the layer together with the film, the metallic cylinder can be used repeatedly.
