Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled receptor causing no environmental pollution and having superior heat resistance and superior electrophotographic characteristics by laminating an amorphous silicon photoconductive layer obtd. by a glow discharge decomposition method and an org. photosemiconductor layer on an electrically conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: An electrically conductive substrate is set to a temp. of about 50W 250°C, and on the substrate an about 0.2W3μ thick amorphous silicon photoconductive thin film layer which absorbs visible light and generates charge carriers is formed by a glow discharge decomposition method. On the layer an about 8W40μ thick org. photosemiconductor layer which transfers the charge carriers is further formed to obtain an electrophotographic receptor. The photosemiconductor layer is mainly composed of poly-N-vinylcarbazole and polyimide resin.
