Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a high-strength zinc hot dipped steel plate of superior workability by heating the steel plate having been controlled of containing components such as Si and Mn to between the A1 transformation point-A3 transformation point temperatures then subjecting the same to zinc hot dipping. CONSTITUTION:The steel contg. 0.20%>C, 0.30%>Si, 1.0-2.5% Mn, 0.030%> P, 0.020%>S, and 0.01-0.10% sol.Al, satisfying the relation of 5XSi+Mn<= 2.5%, and contg. 0.01-0.20% one or two kinds of carbide or nitride forming metals such as Nb, Ti and V or 0.05-2.00% one or two kinds of metals enhancing hardenability, such as Cr and Mo, is hot rolled or cold rolled, after which it is heated to temperatures between the A1 transformation point-A3 transformation point. The structure becomes mixed structure of ferrite and austenite, and in the process of zinc hot dipping the steel plate and cooling the same down to room temperature, austenite is transformed to hard phases of martensite, bainite, etc., whereby strength is improved.
