Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled steel having >=100mm. thickness by forming a steel contg. specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, Al, B and N as basic componets into a slab, heating the slab to a specified temp., hot rolling it, and hardening and tempering the hot rolled plate after cooling to below a cooling temp. corresponding to the heating temp. CONSTITUTION:A steel contg., by weight, 0.05-0.25% C, 0.05-0.6% Si, 0.3-2% Mn, 0.02-0.1% Al, 0.0003-0.005% B and 0.002-0.012% N as basic components or contg. further >=1 kind of element selected from <1% Cu, <3.5% Ni, <1% Cr, <1% Mo, <0.1% V and <0.1% Nb is formed into a slab. The slab is heated to >=1,100 deg.C heating temp. TO and hot rolled. The hot rolled plate is cooled to <=2125-1.3TO deg.C cooling temp. T corresponding to the heating temp. TO, and it is hardened and tempered.
