Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce high tension galvanized steel sheet for press machining excelling in press formability, aging durability, and curing performance for baked paint after press forming, by heating to recrystallize low carbon cold rolled sheet with specified composition, and quenching, then plating with molten zinc. CONSTITUTION:A low carbon cold rolled sheet containing <0.01% C, <0.20% Si, <1.0% Mn, <0.01-0.08% Al, <0.10% P, <0.01% N and Nb by the content shown in formula I or II depending on the coiling temperature, and further, if necessary, one or two or more kinds of Ni, Cr, Cu and Mo totaling to 0.1% or less, and <0.05% Ca, <0.1% rare earth elements, and <0.01% B is heated and recrystallized at a temperature of 900 deg.C or less. The steel sheet is then quenched to 500 deg.C at a cooling rate of 50 deg.C/sec or less. Finally, the steel sheet is plated with fused zinc to produce high tension galvanized steel sheet for press machining for use in automobile.
