Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the rise in the surface temperature of a solar battery and keep a spectroscopic characteristic constant as to wavelength, by providing a conical reflector under a diffusion plate and providing an air layer between the diffusion plate and the sollar battery. CONSTITUTION:A conical reflector 2 made of a film, which has metallic luster, is provided under a diffusion plate 1 to change the optical path of light which comes in at an incident angle of about 40 deg. or more as to a vertical line. The light is then transmitted at a always small incident angle on a reflection surface to the transparent film-coated plate of a solar battery. An air layer is provided between the solar battery 5 and the diffusion plate 1 to reduce the light by diffusion to prevent the rise in the surface temperature of the solar battery. Since both the sides of the diffusion plate have reflection surfaces, light of large incident angle is repeatedly reflected and therefore weakened and then introduced into the air layer. If a wide- range interference filter is mounted on a pyrheliometer of such constitution, the quantity of insolation in a particular range of wavelength can be measured. The solar battery 5 is used as a member to measure the insolation.
