CONSTITUTION: Said steel relates to a material of a ladle for a molten salt based on borax and comprises 0.05W1.0% C, 5.0% or less Si, 1.5% or less Mn, 8.0W 70.0% Ni, 15.0W35.0% Cr and the remainder of Fe and impurities and an alloy satisfying a formula Ni+(Cr%+25)≥[6.C%+4(Mn%+Si%)]×10 is prepared. Said alloy is generally employed in the electric heating and excellent in oxidation resistance at about 800W1,100°C and, further, extremely excellent in heat shock resistance and corrosion resistance against molten borax.
