Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the austenite stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance obtained by preparing stainless steel containing C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, N in a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The stainless steel containing, in the wt. ratio, 0.08% or less C, 1.10W1.90% Si, 5.6W10.0% Mn, 9.6W16.0% Ni, 20.5W26.0% Cr, 0.25W0.50% N and comprising the remainder of Fe and impurity metals is prepared. Thereby, the high strength austenite type stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, abrasion resistance and burning resistance is obtained. If necessary, by containing 0.05W1.00% Nb, strength and hot processing property thereof are further enhanced and, moreover, by containing one or more of 0.2W4.0% Mo, 0.05W 0.5% V and 0.2W4.0% Cu, corrosion resistance thereof can be further enhanced.
