CONSTITUTION: This steel consists of C 0.3W0.45%, Si 0.1W0.5%, Mn 1.3W2%, Cr 0.6W1.5%, Cu 0.2W0.5%, Mo 0.15W0.5%, V 0.05W0.4%, Ni 0.3W0.8%, sol. Al 0.01W0.08%, N 0.002W0.02%, and the balance Fe and impurities. Out of the impurities P and As, Bi, Sb or Sn are restricted to 0.025% or less and 0.003% or less, respectively. Tis steel can be formed into a high tensile steel pipe having a tensile strength of 95W120kg/mm2 by a piercing type manufacturing method of a low cost. Since the Ni content has been saved considerably, the pipe manufacturing cost can be reduced.
