Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain high sensitivity, high precision and high stabilization by detecting a difference between the maximum value and minimum value of a secondary differential spectrum by scanning wavelength repetitively and reciprocally by use of a repetitive reciprocal wavelength spectrometer equipped with a wavelength modulator. CONSTITUTION:Wavelength modulator 20, consisting of a self-exciting oscillator, vibrates a ray of light incident to spectrometer 10 from light source 1 to provide wavelength modulating and repetitive reciprocal wavelength scanner 30, on the other hand, is arranged on ray 18 of light in spectrometer 10 to take a repetitive reciprocal wavelength scan in terms of light emitted out of outlet slit 15. The flux of light from outlet slit 15 enters photoelectric converter 16; and detector 102 detects the differential value of high-order wavelength of the output spectrum of a light output signal and A/D converter 110 outputs a secondary differential spectrum repetitively. Then, sampling circuit 120 obtains its maximum value and minimum value by sampling and operator 130 calculates the difference between the maximum and minimum values.
