Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the measurement of moving distance with high accuracy, by irradiating the tilt light with a given angle to the photoconductor made of organic macropolymer resin and converting the rays passing through the photoconductor axially into electric signal with the photoelectric conversion element.
CONSTITUTION: The photoelectric conversion element 7 is located to one side of the photoconductor 6 made of organic macropolymer resin, and the tilt ray of a given angle is irradiated from the light source 8, and the irradiated light is divided into the light transmitting to the photoconductor 6 and transmitting light propagating in the photoconductor 6 axially. Further, by changing the fitting angle of the light source 8, the transmitting light in the photoconductor 6 is converted into electric signal with the photoelectric conversion element 7. Accordingly, from the relation between the photoirradiation angle and the output current of the photoelectric conversion element 7, at least one moving distance for the light source 8 and the photoconductor 6 to the photoelectric conversion element 7 can be detected as electric signal, allowing to measure the moving distance over broad range and with high accuracy.
