Abstract

975,698. Photometers. TECHNICON INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION. June 6, 1963 [June 15, 1962 ],No. 22494/63. Heading G1P. An atomic absorption flame photometer comprises a light source 10 and a spectral flame burner 12 and a tubular absorption cell 16 arranged 16 receive both the flame and the light. The light which passes through the flame is examined on a spectrograph 32. Mirrors may be used to reflect the light from source 10 so that the flame from burner 12 can be directed straight down tube 16. Cup 28 contains the liquid to be examined. The flame can be directed into tube 16 halfway between its ends.
