Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the accuracy of light measurement, by providing a transmission ratio conversion mirror which has a plurality of parts different from each other in the ratio of quantity of reflected light to that of transmitted light. CONSTITUTION:A transmission ratio conversion mirror 20 is supported at an inclination angle of 45 deg. so that it can be moved on an identical plane. When the quantity of light of a hollow-cathode lamp 1 is almost equal to that of a heavy hydrogen lamp 2 as to a measured wavelength and a part A of the mirror 20 is located in an optical path, the quantities of light are reduced by half and the ratio of the quantities does not change. The light is absorbed by an atomizing unit 4 and then passed through a spectroscope so that only light of the wavelength is detected by a photoelectric detector. When the quantity of light of the hollow-cathode lamp 1 is different from that of the heavy hydrogen lamp 2, the transmission ratio conversion mirror 20 is moved so that quantities of light incident upon the atomizing unit 4 are almost equalized to each other.
