Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a highly accurate measurement with relatively simple manner by detecting the intensity of two lights varied in the wavelength separetely with the integration of a light path through modulation of the first light with the quantity to be measured after it is separated with the generation of the two lights. CONSTITUTION:An optical path of first light 23 and second light 24 enters a light modulation section 27 through a first light integration device 25. The incident light 28 is sent to a light separation filter 44 and the light 23 moves straight while the light 24 is reflected and changes the optical path thereby by 90 deg.. the light 23 turns to a modulated light 23a through a modulation element containing a Pockels crystal 32. On the other hand, the light 24 is introduced to a light integrating interference film filter 47 to coincide the optical path of the modulated light 23a. The modulated light 23a and the light 24 are separated again by a second separator 36 via a condenser 48 or the like and reach light detectors 39 and 40 which detects the intensity of the modulated light 23a and the light 24 separately. Only affected by the wavelength of the light 23, the sensitivity of the detector will not lower despite any access thereof to the wavelength of the light 24. This enables a highly accurate measurement with relative simplicity.
