PURPOSE:To use a flame light intensity detector even for measurement of a sample with high-boiling point, by making it possible to set a flame light source in a thermostat in the detector by connecting a light path between the flame light source and an optical filter by a glass fiber scope. CONSTITUTION:The flame light from flame light source 1 provided near column exit 5 in thermostat 10 in the detector is applied to photomultiplier 4 through heat- proof glass 2, glass fiber scope 6, and optical filter 3. The output of photomultiplier 4 is taken out through signal line 8. As a result, the length of the pipe from the column exit to the flame light source is shortened to enhance uniformity of the temperature, and the optical filter and the photomultiplier are set to the state where they are not influenced by the temperature from the thermostat.
