Abstract
1425188 Atomic spectrographic analysis SHANDON SOUTHERN INSTRUMENTS Ltd 27 Aug 1974 [2 Nov 1973 22 Feb 1974] 51124/73 and 8188/74 Heading G2J A tube 1 into which a vaporized sample is admitted from an inlet 4 is heated by a gas burner 3. Optical radiation is passed axially through the tube and spectrographically analyzed. The shield 5 protects the inlet from the heat of the flame. In Fig.2 (not shown) at each end of the tube 1, provision is made for passing an inert gas across the tube to prevent ignition of any hydrogen escaping from the ends of the tube.
