Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the safe and accurate detection of the index signal by composing the output of two different kinds of photoelectric converter elements corresponding to the two types of distributions attached to the outer wall of the picture tube and then lessening the load of each index light volume.
CONSTITUTION: Picture tube 27 in which two different kinds of index streaks 241 and 242 featuring different luminous spectrum distributions is installed to screen part 20, and at the same time two different types of photoelectric converter elements 28 and 29 are provided corresponding to the two different types of distributions attached to the outer wall of tube 27. Then the output signals of element 28 and 29 are compounded to obtain the index signal. As a result, the load is lessened for the index light volume of element 28 and 29, thus ensuring the safe and accurate detection for the index signal.
