Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the image of good quantity by providing separate electrodes before and behind the point where a developer carrying body approaches to an electrostatic latent image holding body, applying AC bias to the former and applying the bias of the polarity reverse to the charge of the toner to the latter. CONSTITUTION:A developing roller 2 is constituted of an outside stationary sleeve 21 and a magnet roller 22, and the roller 22 is rotated in the clockwise direction of an arrow C2'. Also, a developing electrode B1 which applies developing accelerating bias, a photograhic fog removing electrode B2 which applies bias for the purpose of removing the photographic fog, an insulator D1 which prevents the conduction of both electrodes B1 and B2, and insulators D2, D3 which prevent the conduction of both electrodes B1 and B2 to the other parts of the sleeve 21, are provided. A latent image holding body drum 1 rotates in the arrow C1 direction, and the proximity point of the roller 2 to the drum 1 is expressed by A, and the toner on the sleeve 21 rotates in the arrow C3 direction. A doctor blade 3 and a scraper 4 are provided as well.
