Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve higher transfer efficiency and fixing efficiency by using the magnetic toner of decreased content of magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:When a sleeve 20 rotates in the arrow direction, the magnetic toner T of not more than 30wt% in magnetic material content in a hopper 24 is magnetically adsorbed to the conductive rubber layer 21 on the sleeve 20 and is thereby delivered out from the hopper 24. The toner on a developing roller 19 is defined to the specified thickness by a doctor blade 23 and is charged to the specified polarity. The toner having been charged forms a magnetic brush with a photosensitive drum 15 and contacts the drum, thus depositing on its electrostatic latent image portions. After development, the magnetic toner deposits on the orller 19 and is returned to the hopper 24.
