Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method for obtaining a plurality of copies by a dry process at high speed and low cost, by forming an electrostatic latent image, developing and fixing this to form a master treated with an antistatic agent, by charging this master, and by transferring a visible image.
CONSTITUTION: Master (original plate) 2 is wound around plate cylinder 1 and insulating material 4 is wound around cylinder 3. Toner 6' is supplied with developing roller 5' and image receiving paper 7 is copied 13 through corona charger 8'. On the other hand, master 2 is formed by treating the surface of a usual offset master with an antistatic agent or by treating the static latent image of an electrophotographic receptor with this agent or by similar treatment. A static latent image is formed on the surface of insulating material 4 made of a material of 107 or more ohms volume resistivity by contacting this to master 2 and stripping it from master 2, and this image is developed with toner 6' and transferred to form copy 13. Master 2 itself is not scratched and plain paper is used for the image receiving paper, permitting a plurality of copies to be obtained by a dry process with ease at low cost and high speed.
