Abstract
1482037 Electro-photography INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 16 Sept 1975 [9 Jan 1975] 37927/75 .Heading G2H After completion of a run of copy making, photo-conductive drum 12 continues to revolve while lamp 40 erases its latent image and corona generator 16 gives a charge similar to that of toner applied by developer station 14 to residual materials on the drum surface, to facilitate their removal by triboelectrically charged brush 17. Coating fragments from carrier particles, for example, are charged and removed with residual toner. The fragments may be polytetrafluoroethylene, and originate from coatings on magnetic carrier particles. After cleaning, the drum is brought to rest in a pre-set "home position".
