Abstract

PURPOSE:To form good visible images stably by applying alternating electric currents in the space between plate-like charging members facing each other, conveying a two component developer there, and oscillating and charging the same with the alternating electric fields then forming the images by a contact developing system. CONSTITUTION:A developing device constituting of a magnet body rotating like an arrow and a metallic rotary sleeve 2, etc. is provided to photoreceptor 1 by way of a developing area D. A two component developer P is supplied uniformly onto this sleeve 2 from a hopper 3, a regulating plate 4, etc. The developer consisting of a toner T and a carrier C is oscillated and charged between a charging member 5 impressed with alternating currents with a DC power source E for prevention of the sticking of the toner and an AC power source V and said sleeve 2. The electrostatic latent images on the photoreceptor 1 are developed by the contact with the ears of the magnetic brush of a developing part D applied with DC or AC bias voltage.
