Abstract

PURPOSE:To form good visible images stably by applying alternating electric fields in the space between plate-like charging members facing each other, conveying a two component developer there, oscillating and charging the same by the alternating electric fields then developing the electrostatic latent images by a non-contact developing system. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 1 and a developing device constituted of a magnet body M rotating like an arrow, a metallic rotary sleeve 2, etc. are provided. A two component developer P is supplied from a hopper 3, a regulating plate 4, etc. onto this sleeve 2. The developer consisting of a toner T and a carrier C is oscillated and charged between a charging member 5 impressed with alternating currents by a DC power source E for preventing the sticking of the toner and an AC power source V and the sleeve 2. The electrostatic latent images on the V photoreceptor are developed by a developing means of a non-contact developing system provided with a DC bias voltage applying means or an oscillating voltage applying means.
