Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the pickup amounts of toners on respective electrostatic latent images and obtain sharp two-color copied images by applying an AC bias voltage to a sleeve built in with a magnet so that the toners alternately receive desorbing and holding power. CONSTITUTION:In an electrostatic latent image developing method of developing two electrostatic latent images of different polarities formed on a laminated photoreceptor 1 by means of toners 51, 52 having electric charge, an AC bias voltage is applied to a sleeve 6 built in with a magnet. As a result, the toners 51, 52 in the developer receive the desorbing force from said sleeve 6 and holding force on said sleeve 6 alternately and periodically. Hence, in addition to the suction force that two colors of the toners 51, 52 adsorbed to the respective electrostatic latent images for a two-color original receive, the desorbing force in the same direction to this suction force may be added, thereby the pickup amounts of the toners on the respective electrostatic latent images may be increased.
