Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a volume of waste gas and to decrease a maximum combustion temperature by a method wherein some industrial waste materials are burned and melted with a feeding volume of oxygen being decreased so as to cause their incomplete combustible constituents to be relatively high in their volume, and at the same time a temperature of the waste gas is kept at a specified range.
CONSTITUTION: Upwardly diverged waste gas passage 5 is communicated with the upper surface of the hot furnace hearth 1, the furnace 3 is communicated near a bottom part of the combustion unit 2 and at the same time the waste gas pasages 17, 21 are provided at the lower part of the furnace. When some industrial waste materials etc. are to be processed, a combustion and a melting of the industrial waste materials are performed while a feeding volume of gas containing combusting oxygen fed from a tuyere 9 is reduced and some incomplete combustible constituents are contained therein and at the same time when the dried sludge is removed from the furnace 3, both a waste gas blowing speed and a maximum combustion temperature are restricted to a low value, and further when hot waste gases are flowed out of the passages 17, 21 in such a way as a waste gas temperature in the passage 5 is kept at a specified range, resulting in that an efficiency of combustion may also be improved. Then, a dispersion of dust may be prevented and at the same time a breakage or damage of the furnace hearth may be reduced.
