Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a volume of waste gas and decrease a maximum combustion temperature by a method wherein industrial waste materials etc. are burned and melted with a feeding volume of gas containing combusting oxygen for a hot furnace hearth being reduced. CONSTITUTION:Upwardly diverged waste gas passage 5 is communicated with the upper surface of the hot furnace hearth 1, and the furnace 3 is communicated near a bottom part of the combustion unit 2. When the industrial waste mateials etc. are to be processed, a feeding volume of gas containing combustion oxygen fed from a tuyere 9 is reduced, its combustion and melting operatios are performed with incomplete combustible constituents being contained therein. When the dried sludge is taken out from the furnace 3, a blowing speed of waste gas is reduced and its temperature is also restricted to a low value. Thereby, a dispersion of dust may be prevented and a damage of the furnace hearth may also be reduced.
