Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an effective prevention of a dispersion of granular powder materials such as waste materials by a method wherein a feeding downstream passage for industrial waste materials etc. is arranged in such a way as its flowing down port is positioned near the top section of the hot furnace hearth and its flowing down extension line is faced toward a central part of the upper surface of the hot furnace hearth. CONSTITUTION:The flowing down passage 6 for supplying dried sludge such as industrial waste materials etc. to the hot furnace hearth 1 is connected to the combustion waste gas flowing up passage 5 with the same being downwardly inclined in such a way as its down flow opening is positioned near the top part of the hot furnace hearth 1 and its down-flow extension line is faced toward a central part of the top surface of the hot furnace hearth 1. When the dried sludge is supplied from the down-flow passage 6, a dispersion of the granular powder is efficiently prevented and an air pollution caused by waste smoke may be restricted due to a short contact distance between the granular powder containing the dried sludge and the waste gas.
