Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide any solid substance from mixing into the exhaust gases from the incinerator in the desulphurization by supplying used coke as furnace bed forming material for the incinerator, thereby burning up the substance to be disposed reasonably and economically.
CONSTITUTION: Used coke A is utilized in the desulphurization of a desulphurizing chamber 19 as a bed forming material of a high temperature furnace bed 6. The industrial substance to be disposed such as sewage is thrown on the furnace bed made of used coke through the upper opening of the incinerator 1. In spite of the movement of the combustion gas and the air for combustion, the substance to be disposed is brought into contact with the high temperature furnace bed 6, burnt up and melted, so that the ashes will be prevented from flying away, thereby preventing any solid substance from mixing into the exhaust gases from the incinerator 1. This constitution eliminates the need of providing a solid substance removing means in the passage for flowing exhaust gases from the incinerator 1 to the desulphurizing process. Further, the used coke can be untilized effectively.
