Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent secondary pollution and utilize slag sand effectively as resources by granulating molten slag produced when sludge is molten to form slag sand and using the slag sand as fluid medium of fluidized layer type incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: When sludge cake is charged through an inlet 2 into an incinerator 1, the sludge is fluidized and burnt by the fluidized layer 1' of the incinerator 1 by the fluid and combustion air from air feed tube 4. Organic content is intaken as a combustion gas and inorganic content is intaken as ash into an exhaust gas tube 3. Gas such as SO2, HCl, etc. are reacted with CaO of slag sand introduced through a movable throwing facility 14 to transform into a gypsum and calcium chloride, and this media are discharged from an exhaust tube 5. The exhaust gas from the tube 3 is separated by a solid to gas separator 6 into exhaust gas and ash. The ash is fed into a melting facility 8 and a slag granulating facility 11 to become slag sand and is then stored in a hopper 13.
