Abstract
PURPOSE: To stabilize the combustion of a combustion furnace by circumferentially alternately arranging a plurality of gas and combustion air injection ports on the wall surface of the furnace, thereby accelerating the dispersion and mixture of the gas and the air.
CONSTITUTION: Refuse 3, coke 4 and lime stone 5 are thrown through a charging unit 2 into a melting incinerator 1, preheated air is blown from a tuyere 7 into the incinerator 1 and they are burnt therein, incombustible materials are molten, and combustible materials are pyrolytically decomposed to be gasified. The gas thus generated is subsequently introduced through a dust 10 and a dust remover 11 via a burner 13 provided at a combustion furnace 12 into the combustion furnace 12, and burnt together with the combustion air fed under pressure from a blower 14. In this case, gas and air injection ports 19 and 20 of the burner 13 are branched from a gas header 28 and an air header 29 respectively. The injection ports 19 and 20 are circumferentially alternately arranged downwardly and directed in an inner peripheral direction of the inner wall surface 27.
