Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove NOx in the exhaust gas to prevent public pollution by a method wherein the mixed gas of combustion air and reducing gas is blown into a furnace from the bottom thereof and said mixed gas is reacted with combustion gas containing the nitrogen oxide. CONSTITUTION:The mixed gas of the combustion air and the reducing gas is blown into the furnace from the furnace bottom at the upper stream side of combustion stokers 2, 3 through air supplying paths 7, 8 and reducing gas supplying tubes 31, 32 connected to the paths 7, 8 and this mixed gas is reacted with the combustion gas containing the nitrogen oxide produced by the combustion of articles 5 to be incinerated on a combustion stoker aft part 3 and/or an after combustion stoker 4. The combustion gas containing NOx produced mainly on the combustion stoker aft part 3 and the after combustion stoker 4 is mixed with pyrolysis gas containing the reducing gas such as ammonia gas on a drying stoker 1 and the combustion stoker fore part 2 thereby reducing the NOx into a stable nitrogen by reacting it with the ammonia and the like.
