Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the noise and to save fuel by controlling the electromagnetic clutch connecting the engine and a compressor by means of a diaphragm switch to automatically disconnect the compressor from the engine when the engine is operated at a high output rate. CONSTITUTION:The suction chamber 2 formed in the case 1 for a diaphragm 7 is connected to the suction pressure pickup through a connection tube 4. Normaly, a switch 8 is kept open as a low suction pressure is applied to the diaphragm 7. A contact point 12 of a relay is connected to the magnetic coil 14 of an electromagnetic clutch A contact point 11, a time switch 13 and a coil 10 form a self-retaining circuit which is opened by the time switch 13. When the revolution rate of the engine is raised and the torque of the engine exceeds a limit, the diaphragm 7 closes the switch 8 to actuate the coil 10 and close and retain the contact point 11, and at the same time, the contact point 12 is opened so that the electromagnetic clutch is released. After a fixed period of time, an electromagnetic coil 14 is actuated to connet the electomangetic clutch.
