Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure the quantity of air sucked when cooling an engine by a method wherein a warming-up condition of the engine is detected by means of a detector, and an intake shutter is set by the detecting signals so that a throttling condition of an intake is made less than the case of warming-up when cooling the engine.
CONSTITUTION: When warming-up, a constantly-closed contact 20, a warming-up detecting switch 21, an accelerating switch 22 and a braking detecting switch 23 are at ON, a solenoid 15 of a three-way solenoid valve 10 is excited, a negative pressure passage 11 is opened, and a negative pressure chamber 7a is communicated with a vacuum tank 12, thus bringing the negative pressure chamber 7a of a power chamber 7 to negative pressure, then closing an intake shutter 3 through a link mechanism 6. When cooling, the warming-up detecting switch 21 is at OFF, the solenoid 15 of the three-way solenoid valve 10 is demagnetized, the negative pressure passage 11 is closed, the negative pressure chamber 7a of the power chamber 7 is opened to atmospheric air through an atmospheric hole 10a, a diaphragm 9 is pushed down by spring force and the intake shutter 3 is opened.
