Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the effectiveness of engine brake, by consituting this idle-up device so that a throttle valve perfectly return up to a totally-closing location when an engine decelerates, in the idle-up device for increasing the number of revolution of the engine when idling.
CONSTITUTION: When switching a cooler switch ON, a solenoid coil 50 is excited, a movable portion material 52 is sucked against the force of a spring 53 and a change-over valve 54 is contacted with a valve seat 56. Consequently, ports 41, 42 are communicated, and intake negative pressure is fed to a signal chamber 26 of an idle-up actuator 20, thus a throttle valve 11 is held at a location that opens at a fixed angle θ° from a totally-closing location at the time of idling. Since the throttle valve 11 is closed when an engine decelerates, high intake negative pressure is generated, the high intake negative pressure is introduced to a signal chamber 68 of a control valve 60, and a valve lifter 67 is downward displaced against the force of a spring 77, thus supplying the air to said signal chamber 26, then totally closing the throttle valve 11.
