Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent surging caused by pulsation of intake air by leading a supercharger to get rid of surging status by means of an output signal transmitted from a control signal circuit composed of a pulsation detecting sensor and a temperature circuit transmitting a surging status signal.
CONSTITUTION: A pulsation sensor 9 is provided in an intake duct 4, and a comparator circuit 10 is provided on the output side of the sensor 9 so that the surging status signal may be outputted when the output signal from the sensor 9 exceeds the set value, and thus a control signal circuit 11 shall be formed. A separation means 12 is also provided, while this means consists of a pressure discharge valve 12a which makes operation in response to a signal from a circuit 11 and allows the super-charger 7 to break away from its surging status. An any pressure change of pulsation generated in the intake duct 4 is detected on every cycle of engine 1, and determined to be a surging status signal if its amplitude is rather large. Then, it is introduced into the separation means 12, so as to have the surging of the super- charge of ended.
