Abstract
PURPOSE: To properly control the volume of air intake properties to operating conditions by providing a feedback control valve (to perform feedback control) to produce a specified position to an air intake passage of a diesel engine equipped with an exhaust air back flow unit.
CONSTITUTION: A control valve 3 is installed to an air intake passage 2 having an exhaust air back flow nozzle at a location not illustrated herein. The shaft 4 of the control valve 3 is connected to a diaphragm mechanism 7 through a rod 7. A negative pressure of a vacuum pump 10 transmitted to the diaphragm chamber 8 performs position control of the valve. On the negative pressure passage is installed a solenoid which is opened or closed by an electric process circuit 11 to control the volume of negative pressure for transmission. The position of the solenoid 12 detects the position of the control valve 3 and inputs the signal to the circuit 11 as well, thereby preforming feed back control.
