Abstract

PURPOSE: To proportion the quantity of recirculation of blow-bye gas to the quantity of production thereof by a method wherein the negative pressure chamber of a control valve controlling the quantity of recirculation of the blow-bye gas is connected with a pressure-regulating valve switching and connecting the negative pressure chamber to the open air or the negative pressure of a sucking pipe corresponding to the pressure in a constant pressure chamber.
CONSTITUTION: When blow-bye gas is produced to a large quantity in a blow-bye gas producing chamber 6 of a cylinder head cover, a crack case, etc. and the pressure in a constant pressure chamber 26 formed in a blow-bye gas flow-back route 21 by fixed throttle 24 and 25 rises, the diaphragm 16 of a pressure-sensing chamber 15 is displaced and in open-air communication port 18 is closed by a valve 17. Accompanying this, a negative pressure passage 20 transmits the negative pressure in a sucking pipe 3 to the negative pressure chamber 12 of a control valve 10, thus a valve body 11 being raised through the intermediary of a diaphragm 13 and the control valve 10 is opened. Accordingly, the blow-bye gas in the quantity proportional to the quantity of production of the blow-bye gas is made to flow back from the producing chamber 6 to the sucking pipe 3 through the flow-back route 21.
