Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to recirculate the exhaust gas in proportion to the amount of suction air correctly by a method wherein a vacuum control valve, having a mechanism to cooperate it with a suction air choke valve, is annexed to an exhaust gas recirculation control valve. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas recirculation regulating valve V1 is interposed on the way of an exhaust gas flow path 22 while a vacuum supplying path 41 is communicated with the vacuum operating chamber 28 of the valve V1. An electromagnetic switching valve V3 is interposed on the way of the path 41 and the valve V3 switches and communicates the vacuum operating chamber 28 to a suction air path 44 or to an atmosphere. Further, another leak path 53, opening to the atmosphere, is ramificated from the vicinity of the communicating section to the suction air path 44 of an upstream side vacuum supplying path 41b and the vacuum control valve V4, having the cooperating mechanism A to cooperate it with a throttle valve 43, is interposed on the way of this path 53. This cooperating mechanism is operated in the middle load operating zone to control the inflow amount of the atmosphere into the vacuum chamber a of the control valve V4 in accordance with the opening degree of the throttle valve 43 and thereby controlling the opening and closing of the regulating valve V1 through the operating chamber 28 of the regulating valve V1.
