Abstract

PURPOSE: To control output characteristics at will by mounting an intake air controlling valve in an atmosphere intake port of an air cleaner and providing in a carbureter a three-way electromagnetic valve for changing over internal pressure in a float chamber to negative pressure in an intake pipe and the atmospheric pressure.
CONSTITUTION: An intake air controlling valve 3 is mounted on an atmospher intake port 2 of an air cleaner 1. To a carbureter 5 is connected a three way electromagnetic valve 7 for changing over the internal pressure in a float chamber 6 to negative pressure in an intake pipe 8 and the atmospheric pressure. When an engine is operated, the controlling valve 3 is closed through a relay 13 to reduce intake air amount. At this time, a relay 14 is also operated so that the pressure in the float chamber 6 is changed over from the atmospheric pressure to negative pressure in the intake pipe by the three-way electromagnetic valve 7. Thus, fuel flow injected from the carbureter 5 is reduced to optimize air fuel ratio of the engine. Hence, components of the engine becomes interchangeable and output characteristics can be controlled at will.
