Abstract

PURPOSE: To completely absorb reaction-unfinished ozone to keep it from being released into the atmosphere and enable effective ozone decoloration, by bringing the reaction-unfinished ozone from an ozone reaction column into contact with an excretion separation liquid.
CONSTITUTION: Excretion removed of admixtures is preparatorily aerated in an aeration vessel 10. A separation liquid resulting from the aeration is supplied to another aeration vessel 12 and treated with activated sludge and air from a blower 13. Secondary disposal water and the sludge are separated from each other by precipitation in a sedimentation vessel 14. The supernatant liquid in the vessel 14 is conducted to the top of an ozone reaction column 18 through a coagulation vessel 15 by a pump 17. In the column 18, ozone from an ozone generator 19 is brought into contact with the supernatant liquid to cause ozone oxidation. Exhasut gas containing reaction-unfinished ozone is introduced into the bottom of a washing column 22 through an exhaust pipe 21. In the washing column 22, the separation liquid pumped up by another pump 23 and the exhaust gas containing the reactior- unfinished ozone are brought into contact with each other to completely absorb and remove the reaction-unfinished ozone of low concentration.
