Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform deodorization and decoloration treatment of polluted water with waste ozone gas reasonably by directly connecting a treatment tank where water is treated under aerobic condition separately from the main treatment system to a decoloration tank and then by introducing waste gas from the decoloration tank into the aforesaid treatment tank.
CONSTITUTION: In the treatment of polluted water in a polluted water treatment tank provided with an aerobic treatment tank and an ozone-decoloration tank, waste ozone gas from the decoloration tank is introduced into the aerobic treatment tank through a conduit connecting directly the aforesaid treatment tank with the decoloration tank. For example, polluted water from the storage tank 21 is put into the aerobic digestion tank 22 in which waste ozone from the decoloration tank 29 is introduced. In the tank 22, odorous substances are decomposed by microorganisms present in water and waste ozone is absorbed as essential oxygen for microorganisms. The treated water is introduced into the decoloration tank 29 through the primary sedimentation tank 23, the secondary sedimentation tank 26, and the decomposition tank 27. In the decoloration tank, the treated water is decolored by ozone from the ozonizer 33 and then discharged through the filtering device 30.
