Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise thermal efficiency and water-making efficiency by recovering from the sea water the condensation latent heat of water vapor on the inside surface of a transparent heat recovery plate covering an evaporating tank along the heat recovery plate.
CONSTITUTION: The solar radiation S passed through the light permeable plate 3, the sea water, 4a, and the heat recovery plate 2 and heats the heat absorber 18, resulting in the heating of the sea water 4b. And, when the temperature of the sea water 4b reaches more than the atmospheric temperature, its evaporation is raised and water vapor generated contacts with the underside of the plate 2 to form the water droplets 15 on the underside. In this case, most of the condensation latent heat of water vapor is recovered by the sea water 4a flowing along the plate 2 and then the sea water is supplied into the tank 1, and the condensed sea water 4b is circulated with the fresh sea water 4. On the other hand, the water droplets 15 are flowed down along the plate 2 for collection, exhaustion, and storage.
