Abstract
PURPOSE: To drastically improve the lighting property and weather proofness and to provide a larger temperature difference between the ground surface and the surface of cool and condensing region in a solar system distilliation device in the type of having cooling section on a tent or green house structure.
CONSTITUTION: A distillation device mainly consists of a green house or housing 2 and a cooling section 11 comprising a highly conductive metal plate 12 and water flow 13 to cool the metal internal surface 14 to nearly the same temperature as water. Roof 3 is a film essentially consisting of fluororesin having formula (C2H4. C2F4)n. This resin has a good weather resistance, is stiff, hard to scratch, and hardly forms dew condensation on the surface. In such a device, solar energy transmits through the thin roof 3, heats water container 15 to evaporate water and moves it upward as shown in the arrow 4. Water vapor immediately condenses on the inner face of the metal plate of the cooling section 11 and forms small water droplets. Droplets grow into larger size and flows down into collection trough 7.
