Abstract

PURPOSE: To pour molten metal in a die-clamped state and enable the same to be immediately injected by forming a cross gate in the direction vertical to upper and lower metal molds, inserting an injection plunger into the cross gate from below and horizontally movably providing the stopper of the shut-off plunger which opens and closes the cross gate.
CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower metal molds 5, 6 are clamped by pushing up a moving plate 4 with a die clamping cylinder 2. At this time, a shut-off plunger 15 is held open. The molten metal having been melted in a melting device 10 is poured through a pouring port 7a, after which the cross gate 7 is shut off by the stopper 15a by operating a shut-off cylinder 16 immediately after this. Thereafter, the molten metal in an injection sleeve 7b is packed in a cavity 8 by driving the injection plunger to 13a to ascend. After solidification, the lower metal mold 6 is moved downward and the product is ejected by an ejection cylinder 19.
