Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate converging and interruption of molten material and correctly pour the same into the mold by letting the molten material be carried on inert gas flow and flowing the same into the molding cavity while pressing the molten material in a crucible with equal pressure from its above and below at the time of pouring.
CONSTITUTION: A melting chamber 1 and pouring chamber are kept in an inert atmosphere. The melting chamber 1 and sprue 22 are kept nearly under the same pressure and differential pressures are maintained between the melting chamber and pouring chamber 2. Inert gas is then passed from the melting chamber 1 and is flowd into the pouring chamber 2 through the sprue 22, molding cavity 23 and gas vent line 25. At the time when the molten material 33 is poured from the sprue 22 into the molding cavity 23, the melting chamber 1 and sprue 22 are pressured under nearly equal pressure and while the material is being suppressed of boiling, it flows down at a correct speed, carries on the inert gas flow flowing in the mold 15 and smoothly flows into the molding cavity 23. Then, it correctly solidifies subsequently from the innermost end side toward the sprue 22 side and the beautiful casting of compact casting surfaces in a correct shape is precisely molded.
