Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the casting material of a fixed shape used for precision casting machines to be produced through casting by substituting a fixed-shape-material- molding mold with either of a crucible or precision-casting mold.
CONSTITUTION: A fixed-shape-material-molding mold 50 which casts cylindrical casting material is beforehand provided besides precision-casting mold 9 and crucible 9. This molding mold 50 is substituted with the casting mold 9 and is installed in a pouring chamber 8, thence the casting blank 51 placed on the crucible 5 is melted by the arc generated from an arc discharging electrode 2 and is poured into the molding mold 50, whereby the casting material 3 of a fixed shape is cast. The molding mold 50 is taken out from the pouring chamber 8 and the casting mold 9 is installed, thence the casting material 3 is erected in the crucible 5. The molten material is flowed from sprue 10 into the molding cavity 11, whereby precision casting is accomplished. It is also possible to install the molding mold 50 in the melting chamber 1 in substitution with the crucible 5 and place the casting blank 51 on the inlet of the molding mold 50 and melt the same.
