Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a molding of excellent finish having a hole without generation of welds and subject to no boring process by driving a punching pin before a molten material filled in a cavity could become solid, and pulling out the said pin after solidification.
CONSTITUTION: First, a movable mold 3 is matched to a fixed mold 4 to form a cavity 5. Next, a molten resin from an injection cylinder 8 is injected into the cavity 5 through channels 6, 7. After this step, the second and third hydraulic pistons 12, 14 are actuated during the period until an injected resin becomes semisolid. Following this process, a punching pin 11 is driven into the cavity 5 and at the same time, a scrap pin 13 is moved back. After this step, a resin inside the cavity 5 is cooled and solidified as it is and then the punching pin 11 is lifted up by means of the piston 12. Later, the movable mold 4 is opened to actuate a hydraulic piston 10 and a molding is taken out with the help of a knockout pin 9. Finally, a scrap is ejected by means of the piston 14.
