Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform cooling and solidifying of castings in a short time and expedite casting cycles by forming molds separately to casting body molds and cooling parts molds, and directly cooling the casting of the cooling part after solidifying.
CONSTITUTION: Molten metal is charged to fill and form a cooling part casting 7, a casting body 8 and a riser 9. After the carging, the casting 7 is solidified earlier by a coling part cavity 121, and upon completion of the solidification, cooling part molds 12, 13 are immediately opened by means of cylinders 122 to expose the casting 7.
